In New York, GF or vego and feel like a burger? Go to Bareburger in East Village. Best GF vegie burger I have ever had in my life! I had a California burger with yummy coleslaw on the side. The bread was amazing and all the ingredients were so fresh. Was particularly great after 5 weeks of watching Jay enjoy the most amazing gluten-full vegie burgers (standard veg option for Anerican pubs it seems).
